Tensions between the U.S. and North Korea have been rising at a terrifying rate over the past few months. Now, they are boiling over in a horrifying way.

The U.K. Express reported that Ri Yong Ho, Pyongyang’s foreign minister, issued a major threat to President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

“With his bellicose and insane statement at the United Nations, Trump, you can say, has lit the wick of a war against us,” he said. “We need to settle the final score, only with a hail of fire, not words.”

This comes days after Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to indicate that military action is still an option against North Korea.

“Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid hasn’t worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, makings fools of U.S. negotiators,” Trump wrote. “Sorry, but only one thing will work!”

“Our country has been unsuccessfully dealing with North Korea for 25 years, giving billions of dollars & getting nothing. Policy didn’t work!” Trump added on Monday.

On Tuesday, U.S. bombers flew over the Korean Peninsula in a show of force aimed at North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. After taking off from Guam, the B-1B bombers staged a simulated air-to-ground missile-firing drill with two South Korean F-15K fighters over the East Sea.
